BANKWISE
“Bankwise, this bank refused until recently
to freeze the Philcomsat Holdings Corporation’s accounts.
Now, this bank claims to have frozen Philcomsat Holdings Corporation’s
accounts but refuses to disclose how much deposit remains in that
bank. Bankwise President Leonides Val Ortega, to whom P30 million
was drawn from the account of Philip Brodett in his favor and
which he in turn deposited in the RCBC. He deposited in his personal
account, as I already said, this P30 million. Where is this money,
whose money was it, and for what purpose was it paid to him is
unknown.
And I hope that with this revelation, the Money
Laundering Council, as well as the Bureau of Internal Revenue,
if indeed we want to clean up the mess in this country, would
now immediately act to ask this bank, including the Bangko Sentral,
why they allowed this kind of practice, otherwise, this representation
will be forced to initiate a thorough-going investigation to open
a can of worms that none will be able to sleep or break or cover
up. Export and Industry Bank, who were the people involved in
this? An Indonesian group, Donald Dee, Sergio Ortiz, et al.
